I got lip fillers few weeks ago but it came out bad. How can I fix it?
Bumps after filler injection
Jan 23, 2017
Thank your for your question and photos. I would recommend seeing a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who can inject hyaluronidase to dissolve some of the filler. You can also start massaging them home to hopefully help breakup some of the filler.
Good Luck!

I want to remove a tattoo which is on my right arm in black color only?
Tattoo removal
Jan 23, 2017
Hi-Thank you for your question and photo. As this tattoo is black, I think it will likely be easily removed. However, there is always some uncertainty as tattoo inks are not regulated or standardized in any way. I would suggest a picosecond laser such as Enlighten and plan on at least 4 treatsments.
Good Luck!

What is more effective to correct hollow under eyes and dark circles? Juvederm or Restylane?
Under Eye Filler
Dec 30, 2016
Thank you for your question and photos. I prefer to use Restylane or Belotero under the eyes. I also like using PRP in this area. If your injector is more experienced and comfortable with Juvederm then you should be ok. Be sure to see an expert, especially for filler in this area.

Good Luck!

Will laser removal leave a scar?
Laser tattoo removal and scarring
Dec 30, 2016
Thank you for your photos and question. Generally the risk of scarring is very low. However, some people do develop fibrosis, or thickening of the skin which feels like a scar, after tattoo removal. The best way to reduce this risk is to see a board certified expert who uses a picosecond laser, such as the Enlighten. You will require less treatments and therefore have less risk of scarring.

Good Luck!

Is there a procedure to get rid of severe acne scars and large pores?
Acne scars
Dec 30, 2016
Thank you for your question. Without evaluating your scars, it is difficult to recommend the best treatment. There are number of different treatments that can be used to treat acne scars and often a combination of treatments is required. There is also not a one size fits all approach as different people respond differently to different treatments. Treatment options include microneedling, laser resurfacing, picogenesis, PRP, filler, chemical peels, TCA CROSS,...
Do differin hypertrophic scars worsen?
Worsening scars
Dec 30, 2016
Depending on the scar and the individual, some scars may worsen and other may improve. There are number of treatments available for treating hypertrophic scars. Best to schedule a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist who can evaluate your scars and discuss the best treatment options.

Good Luck!

Help! I had a total of 80 units (more than I have ever had) of Botox and barely any difference.
No effect after Botox
Dec 30, 2016
Thank you for your question. 80 units is a lot of Botox just for the forehead, is is possible it was Dysport. Perhaps ask you doctor how the Botox was diluted or have the same doctor or another try Xeomin or Dysport.

Good Luck!

How can I clear up my acne scars?
Acne scars
Dec 30, 2016
Thank you for your photos. Based on these photos, you still have a lot of active acne. You should see a board-certified dermatologist to discuss treatment options for you acne. Once your acne is under better control, you can pursue treatment options for any residual discoloration and scarring. There are a number of different treatment options available and your dermatologist can discuss these with you.

Good Luck!

Necrosis two days after Juvederm?
Arterial occlusion from Filler
Dec 29, 2016
Thank you for your photos and question. The area does appear red and swollen and although I doubt this is necrosis there is no way to tell for sure. The best thing to do is see your doctor asap.

Good luck!

19 year old, female. What are my best options of treating minimal ice pick scarring?
Treatments for Ice Picked Scarring
Dec 29, 2016
There are number of treatments that can be used to improve the appearance of the scarring. TCA CROSS, microneedling + PRP, laser resurfacing and punch removal are just a few. Unfortunately I don't know anyone in your area. Best to find a board-certified dermatologist who has experience with all these treatments.

Good luck!

I've got tattoo ink on my ear and can't get it off. Is there any way to get this off?
Tattoo due to piercing
Dec 29, 2016
Thank you for your question. I would recommend laser tattoo removal. Ideally you should find a board certified dermatologist that has a picosecond laser. It will likely not take many treatments.
Use of Radiesse or other dermal fillers for correction of dropping tip?
Drooping Nasal Tip
Dec 29, 2016
If the drooping tip is all that bother you, I would advise trying Botox first. By injecting the muscle that pulls the tip down, the tip can be lifted. If that doesn't work as well as you would like it to a little filler can also be place to lift the tip.

Good luck!

Tattoo removal by excision or laser?
Fastest Tattoo Removal
Dec 29, 2016
Excision will definitely be faster than laser as with laser you will need multiple sessions and it will take a few months. However, excision will leave a scar. If you have 6 months, I would suggest trying laser first with a picosecond laser such as Enlighten.

Good Luck!

I did a 70% chemical peel yesterday on the dark spots of my face and it terribly burnt my skin. Now my f
Chemical Burn
Dec 29, 2016
I am so sorry you are going through this but this is very reason higher percentage chemical peels should not be performed at home. At this point, do not pick at the areas and apply only aquaphor and sunscreen and get in to see a board-certified dermatologist asap to discuss wound care.

Good luck!

Quick fix before a wedding
Dec 29, 2016
Hi Hawaii5028! Thank you for your question! 1 week is certainly a tight timeline and without seeing you in person it can be tough to give an exact recommendation. However, I would recommend a good topical regimen containing a vitamin C serum and a lightening cream (either hydroquinone or a hydroquinone alternative). Along with this I would recommend an at home light device (Neutrogena makes a very inexpensive one). In addition I recommend...
