Doctors
After graduating with his MD from the University of South Alabama, Dr. Aquadro was selected for a competitive six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. There, he received training in many surgical techniques across a breadth of specialties before focusing on reconstructive and cosmetic treatments. In addition to operating at his practice’s AAAASF-certified surgical center, Dr. Aquadro holds hospital privileges at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.
Following medical school Dr. Bond returned to Memphis, TN, and completed a rigorous 5-year general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center(UTHSC). At the completion of his general surgery training at UTHSC, Dr. Bond was elected by his peers to receive the General Surgery Chief Resident Teaching Award. He then went on to complete a prestigious 3-year plastic surgery residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). In his final year of plastic surgery training at UAB Dr. Bond was named the Education Chief Resident and was responsible for crafting and coordinating the didactic schedule for the plastic surgery residency as well as journal clubs and resident education conferences. During his training at UAB Dr. Bond spent an extensive amount of time studying facial reconstruction, hand surgery, lower extremity reconstruction, breast reconstruction, burn reconstruction, skin cancer management, pediatric congenital abnormalities and cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Bond is originally from Memphis and he chose to practice medicine and ultimately surgery after his aunt received a life changing kidney/pancreas transplant during his sophomore year of college. His interest in plastic surgery was initially sparked when he was a general surgery intern on the plastic surgery rotation.
Dr. Bond and his wife, Brittney Z. Heard, M.D., a cardiac electrophysiologist at Pinnacle Cardiovascular Associates, have one son, Beau. In his spare time, Dr. Bond enjoys art, history, playing guitar and piano, home aquariums, fishing and studying the Japanese language.
Dr. Bond has staff privileges at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL and East Alabama Ambulatory Surgery Center in Auburn, AL. He also performs surgery at the AAAASF certified surgery suite at East Alabama Plastic Surgery.
